Job summary

Weil-McLain in Eden, NC is seeking a shop floor assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble cast iron sections, test and calibrate parts, and ensure units meet specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, have 0–3 years of related experience, and follow standard operating procedures with a strong attendance record. This role emphasizes hands-on tooling and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Must qualify on at least one task and the upstream and downstream tasks.
• Must be able to use air/battery-operated tools, lifting devices, and calibrated tools.
• Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Excellent attendance record required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles cast iron section to large/heavy subassemblies and complete units.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Stop the line due to Safety or Quality.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform duties.
• Maintain area cleanliness in accordance with 5S principles.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble block units according to product specifications.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assembles cast iron section to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
2. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
3. Stop the line due to Safety or Quality.
4. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
5. Maintain area cleanliness in accordance with 5S principles.
6. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble block units according to product specifications.

The most qualified candidates will demonstrate the following
