Job summary

Weil-McLain in Eden, NC is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble cast iron sections, test parts, and use hand and power tools to build subassemblies according to product specifications.

The ideal candidate may have a High School Diploma or GED, can lift up to 50 pounds, and has 0–3 years of related experience with a strong attendance record. On-site role with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• 0–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Must qualify on at least one task and the upstream and downstream tasks.
• Excellent attendance record required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles cast iron section to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Stop the line due to Safety or Quality.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Maintain area cleanliness in accordance with 5S principles.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble block units according to product specifications.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Assembles cast iron section to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
