A Remote Tax Professional will serve clients with diverse tax needs and have the support of an expert team and advanced tax training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and assist do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Build client relationships that strengthen year after year and contribute to business growth and client retention; offer additional products and services as appropriate.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers, communicating regularly about how remote work is impacting results.
• Grow tax expertise and stay current with tax regulations and practices.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and providing clear, confident guidance to clients.
• Ability to work with diverse tax needs and support clients through virtual channels.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with remote colleagues and leaders.

Your Expertise

• Experience completing individual tax returns and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet; proficiency with MS Teams and Outlook.
• Ability to explain complex tax situations clearly via phone, email and chat; strong customer service skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; tax knowledge assessment completion (or equivalent).
• High school diploma or higher; continuing education requirements for IRS and applicable state programs must be met.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season; tax knowledge tools usage as needed (e.g., IRS Publications/Instructions).

Pay range

$11.00 - $80.00/Hr.
