Job summary

Peterson Farms, Inc. is seeking a full-time manual labor worker in Stockton, CA.

The role focuses on the development of Lakewood products and involves operating the pre-production room, enforcing quality controls, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Responsibilities include blending, recognizing substandard materials, collaborating on product recovery, and adhering to GFSI/ISO/GMP standards while wearing appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Occasionally required to climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Exposure to nut allergens.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operation and control of the pre-production room (blending area and elaborationtanks).
• Know how to recognize any material that does not meet quality control standards and advise Quality Control or Management of the same.
• Keep both the mixing area and the utensils used clean and disinfected.
• Collaborate with product recovery and reprocessing when needed.
• Work under the standards fixed by the company (GFSI, ISO, GMP's, etc.)
• Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment for the department.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.
