Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Blender for their Sedalia, MO facility. You will blend jet engine parts to PROENERGY standards, using pneumatic/electrical tools and following detailed instructions, with oversight from the Repair Supervisor.

The role is based at 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301, and emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork. Required experience includes blending aero-derivative turbine parts; US work authorization; and completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Experience in blending aero derivative gas turbine parts preferred.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic, electric and hand tools to blend defects and restore contours on turbine parts.
• Complete forms for work assignments per procedures.
• Perform blending for highly engineered products including assembly/disassembly and honeycomb work.
• Maintain equipment, tools and safety gear for each shop order.
• Load/unload hardware with manual methods or lifting devices.
• Meet safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and teamwork standards.
• Read and interpret diagrams and specifications.
• Follow detailed work instructions with limited supervision.
• Ensure a safe, clean working environment and safe practices.
• Act as cross-functional team member with turbine blending process skills.

Position Summary

The Blender will be trained to perform jet engine piece part blending and repair to PROENERGY standards.

Position Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic, electric and hand tools to blend defects, welded areas and restore areas back to original contours on various parts of an aero derivative gas turbine.
• Completes forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures.
• Performs blending for highly engineered products including but not limited to blending, assembly/disassembly, honeycomb removal, etc.
• Properly maintains and controls equipment, processes, tools, fixtures, supplies, and safety equipment associated with each specific shop order.
• Daily tasks will include loading and unloading of hardware and fixtures by hand, with a fork truck or other lifting devices/cranes.
• Meet or exceed core competency expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance/punctuality, and teamwork.
• Read and interpret diagrams and specifications.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and directions under limited supervision.
• Ensures safe working practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe clean work environment.
• Function as a cross-functional team member and demonstrates gas turbine blending process skills and knowledge through the process of gas turbine components and other hardware.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in blending aero derivative gas turbine parts is preferred.
• Experience in blending auto body parts is acceptable.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
• Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
