Responsibilities

  • Follow batch records and tickets to blend products per formulations.

  • Perform QA checks to meet specifications.
  • Apply HACCP/SQF for safety and compliance.
  • Maintain GMP practices with proper labeling and documentation.
  • Sanitize equipment and production lines (CIP) for hygiene.
  • Monitor equipment and report deviations or safety concerns.
  • Complete batch records for traceability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with tenured team and learn SOPs.
  • Lift/move materials up to 75 pounds as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement and clean work area.

Job description

Job Title: 1st Shift Blender

This role is based in a liquid processing beverage facility, working in the blending room where dry and sugar ingredients are frequently mixed, creating a noticeable sweet and sugary atmosphere in the air. The position is on 1st shift Monday thru Friday, 6:00am -2:30pm. You will work with stainless steel vats, mixers, and blending equipment under GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FDA-regulated conditions. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds and exposure to airborne dry ingredients such as sugar. The team includes many tenured employees who value quick learners, strong performance, and a collaborative attitude. Responsibilities
  • Follow batch records and batch tickets with precision to blend products according to established formulations and procedures.
  • Retrieve and stage raw materials from inventory, ensuring the correct ingredients and quantities are prepared for each batch.
  • Load dry and wet ingredients into stainless steel vats and operate mixing and blending equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control checks throughout the blending process to verify that products meet specifications.
  • Apply HACCP and SQF principles during all blending and handling activities to maintain food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times, including proper handling, labeling, and documentation of materials and batches.
  • Carry out sanitation of equipment, vats, and production lines, including clean-in-place (CIP) systems, to ensure a hygienic processing environment.
  • Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report any deviations, mechanical issues, or safety concerns.
  • Accurately complete batch records and production documentation to ensure full traceability and compliance with FDA and internal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a tenured production team, participate in training, and quickly learn standard operating procedures.
  • Lift and move materials, up to 75 pounds on occasion, to support staging, loading, and sanitation activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining a clean, organized work area and contributing to safe, efficient operations.
Essential Skills
  • 1–5 years of experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility.
  • 1–5 years of experience with mixing or blending operations in a production or processing environment.
  • 1–5 years of experience working from batch tickets or batch records to produce finished products.
  • Experience with sanitation processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) systems.
  • Basic math skills to measure, weigh, and verify ingredient quantities and interpret batch records.
  • Attention to detail to follow precise recipes, maintain accurate documentation, and identify quality or safety issues promptly.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP principles and their application in a production setting.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated production environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion and perform physically demanding tasks in a production setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating mixers, blenders, or compounding equipment in a food, beverage, or similar regulated facility.
  • Hands-on experience working under GMP, HACCP, and SQF programs.
  • Comfort working with both dry ingredients (including sugars and powders) and liquid ingredients.
  • Ability to learn quickly from experienced, tenured team members and adapt to established processes.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability in a third-shift production environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and product quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Random Lake, WI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
