Job summary

Miller Milling Company in Commerce, CA is seeking a Blender to operate flour delivery and load-out systems, ensuring product meets specifications and quality standards while keeping production efficient.

You will handle ingredient feeders, sample loads, process shipping data in D365, and coordinate with the mill team to meet customer delivery requirements.

Normal shifts rotate four crew cycles, 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, and 10:00pm-6:00am; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified to operate a Yard Tractor.
• Qualified individual under FSMA compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate flour load out systems and bin transfer system.
• Refill Ingredient Feeders.
• Prepare customer samples for loads and transfer them to the loadout office.
• Process shipping data in D365 (BOLs/COAs).
• Load flour and farina trucks as needed.
• Obtain flour samples and run analysis for release of each load shipped.
• Daily flour and feed inventory; monthly physical count.
• Coordinate with Facility Administrator and mill to meet delivery specs.
• Tailing checks and positive release of loads.
• Daily magnet and metal detector checks.
• Follow load out truck schedule; troubleshoot problems.

Summary:

The Blender position is responsible for performing operating flour delivery systems to assist with the mixing of product according to standards and specifications, while maintaining quality and efficiency of all production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for operating the flour load out systems and the bin transfer system.
• Refill Ingredient Feeders
• Prepare customer samples for loads and transfer them to the loadout office
• Process shipping data in D365 (BOL’s/COA’s) email COA’s as required
• Load Farina trucks once spotted by Bulk Loader
• Obtain flour samples and run analysis for positive release of each load shipped
• Daily Flour and Feed Inventory, and Monthly physical count
• Work with the Facility Administrator, General Plant Support, and the mill to meet customer delivery and product specification requirements
• Tailing checks and positive release of each load shipping out.
• Daily magnet and metal detector checks
• Follow load out truck schedule
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to load out.
• Make decisions and handle multiple priorities.
• Perform sanitation and minor maintenance duties.
• Monitor and document filter differential readings.
• Operate the Yard Tractor to spot flour and farina trailers for loading in the absence of bulk loader
• Load flour and feed into trucks in absence of bulk loader
• Cover duties of bulk loader in the absence and break of the bulk loader
• Individual is Certified to Operate a Yard Tractor
• Individual is recognized as a Qualified Individual under FSMA compliance requirements.

Work Hours:

Normal working hours are based on four crew shift rotation. Normal shifts are eight hours in length from 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, 10:00pm-6:00am. These hours are subject to change depending on plant needs. Overtime is sometimes required during the week, weekends and on Holidays.
