Job description

Purpose Of Position

The primary function of this role is to be part of the Blending Team to produce Pre-Blended flours for our customers' Pet Food production lines. Operators must actively engage to ensure line work is accurate and efficient, with correct ingredient inclusions.

Responsibilities

Blending Operations:

• Complete tasks assigned by the Blending Lead
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure ingredient accuracy
• Fill out all paperwork timely and accurately
• Maintain general housekeeping in production areas and warehouse

Warehouse Operations

• Assist in daily scheduled production, ensuring efficiency and productivity
• Label products according to standards (Product Number, Name, Lot, Date, etc.)
• Use correct ingredients, monitor inventory
• Coordinate excess ingredients with Warehouse Manager for inventory reporting

Safety

• Follow all safety protocols
• Identify and report hazards to the Blend Lead or Plant Manager
• Report accidents or near misses promptly

Quality

• Follow all Quality Assurance standards
• Store products properly to maintain quality
• Ensure products meet quality standards and report deviations

General Responsibilities

• Perform project work or other tasks as directed
• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and housekeeping policies
• Report hazards and demonstrate teamwork

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow instructions
• Effective working relationships
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods
• Work in dust, confined spaces, extreme temperatures
• Obtain Forklift Certificates

Work Environment & Physical Demands
