Job summary

Westin Inc is seeking a 1st shift Blender to blend and chill ingredients for product formation. You will fill tumblers with raw meat, ensure accurate paperwork, and identify any foreign materials to maintain quality.

Responsibilities include temperature logging, wrapping pallets, and safely moving product with a pallet jack. The role requires standing 8–9 hours, following GMPs and LOTO procedures, and participating in LEAN activities.

Qualifications

• Follow GMPs at all times.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Notify management immediately of any unsafe situations.
• Follow all Food Safety Policies.
• Must always follow LOTO (Lock out Tag out) program.
• Participate in daily LEAN meeting and stretches.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for 8-9 hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Rake the bacon from the blender into the combos; maintain product flow.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical problems and seek supervisor help when needed.

Essential Functions· Must be able to understand ingredients and follow procedures to properly blend and chill ingredients.· 1st Shift Blender must fill tumbler with raw meat ingredients to mix, and pour contents into combos.· Fill out required paperwork in a neat and accurate manner.· Responsible for identifying any foreign materials or objects found in product.· Make sure temperature is recorded and done at required intervals· Take temperature of combo and properly stretch wrap the combo and pallet· Control temperature of product and strive to provide a high quality blended product. Follow proper mixture of raw materials as directed by the Supervisor.· Know all aspects of Blending Room. This includes running of rework, running sample products and basic knowledge of equipment in department.· Troubleshoot minor mechanical problems and correct if possible to maintain production output.
