Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Laborer Journeyman to support road construction, grading and earthmoving near Study Butte, Texas. The role involves helping skilled trades, following supervisor instructions, and maintaining safety on site. Shifts include day and night schedules with potential overtime and travel considerations.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Perform all required duties with the first focus on safety.
• Assist with hole layout, ensuring correct drilling angles and material placement, provides spotter support for equipment operations, operates skid steers and other equipment, load blast holes in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.
• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions for equipment, jobsite safety rules and jobsite policies.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance and/or deficiencies
