Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Blaster Trainee to assist with daily drilling and blasting activities in the field.

This on-the-job training role provides hands-on experience while learning blasting techniques and job-site supervision. Requirements include at least two years’ explosives experience or military explosive handling, willingness to travel for paid training, and the ability to obtain blasting licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' experience with drills and explosives, or military explosive handling.
• Willing to travel for paid training (6-8 weeks) and obtain blasting licenses.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Blaster in charge with coordinating daily drilling and blasting activities.
• Trains to be proficient in all areas of blasting techniques.
• Develops understanding of proper explosives product use and various applications.
• Maintains daily blasting production schedule and site security.
• Follows safety policies and performs work safely.
• Attends company meetings and participates in daily heads-up discussions.
