Qualifications

• 1+ year of abrasive blasting, industrial blasting, metal finishing, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate abrasive blasting equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, travelers, drawings, and process specifications.
• Ability to identify and protect critical surfaces, dimensions, edges, bores, threads, and gear teeth.
• Ability to handle precision components without causing damage.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical work in a production environment.
• Ability to lift and move parts and materials safely within established requirements.
• Basic understanding of measuring and inspection requirements.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ability to follow PPE, respiratory protection, chemical safety, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transport customer parts for blasting.
• Operate sandblast and related equipment.
• Carefully place completed parts in proper containers for shipping or next step in process.
• Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of supervisor.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care for customer inventory in a safe and responsible manner to prevent loss or damage.
• Must report for work on time and follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, and follow rules and procedures.
