PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation of product surface, including masking, sanding, and visual inspection.
• Paint blast and coat products.
• Maintain productivity to ensure the timely delivery of material.
• Proper cleanup and waste disposal.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Knowledge/basic understanding of blasting processes to include maintaining airlines, fluid lines, paint guns, gun cleaning tanks, & respirator tanks.
• Adds surface roughness test tape to PAINT REPORTS.
• Sandblasts heavy steel equipment to NACE/SSPC Standards.
• Wears a respirator when performing blasting operations.
• Cleans/maintains airlines and respirators.
• Performs tasks necessary to complete product to engineering specifications and quality requirements.
• Works with heavy equipment.
• Ability to learn on the job and apply.
• Able to lift 45 pounds.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial production blasting and painting environment.
• Familiarity with the use of tools, fixtures and equipment for blasting.
• Speaks and reads in English.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Troubleshoots blasting equipment and performs general repairs to assigned equipment.
• Works in warehouse/shop floor environment setting 100% of the day, 0% of the day is spent at a computer in an office.
• Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse.
• Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor.
• Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither air-conditioned nor heated.
• Follows daily work scheduled hours.
• No travel required.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
• Adheres to facilities safety policies and attends all weekly/monthly safety training.
• Follows environment practices and reports any unsafe condition and broken/malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner.
• Wears proper PPE while in the warehouse.
• Attends all Human Resource directed training via classroom or Achieve CBT.
• Works well alone and in team environments.
• Communicates well with other employees.
• Adheres to attendance policies.
• Reads and adheres to all applicable job related JHA's.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Operates blasting equipment.
• Operates both JIB and Overhead cranes.
• Operates Class II & IV Forklifts (Hyster 50 -170 & Order Picker).
• Wears a Fall Protection Harness when performing work at heights.
