Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers in Belen, NM is seeking a Blaster. You’ll prepare surfaces for coatings by removing scale and dirt and learn system components to minimize downtime. You will ensure team safety and help maintain quality while performing daily housekeeping and equipment adjustments.

The role involves training and field leadership duties, with a focus on punctuality, teamwork, and a strong safety culture at the site.

Qualifications

• Experience: Up to 2 years preferred
• Certifications: Tugger (Arcosa will train and certify)
• Technical Skills: None

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
• Use hand tools to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt from interior and/or exterior product surfaces
• Learn system components to avoid downtime
• Assure safety of all team members
• Maintain and improve quality
• Daily housekeeping
• Maintain and repair wearable items
• Operate automated equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt from interior and/or exterior product surfaces
• Make adjustments to equipment that adhere to established specifications
• Train of new or existing team members
• Lead jobs in the field
• Assist in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
• Safety Activities: Be aware of and observe all safety practices
• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned
