Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, IA is hiring a Blaster to prepare materials and surfaces for coatings, including paint, laminate or other finishes.

You’ll work in a plant environment with a focus on safety and quality, using hand tools to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt from surfaces. Responsibilities include maintaining attendance, ensuring safety, daily housekeeping, and supporting continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• 1 year blasting experience preferred.
• Hand tool experience preferred.
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English.
• Desire to learn and be a team player.
• Flexible, detail-oriented and dependable.

Arcosa Wind Towers currently hiring for a Blaster. As a Blaster you'll prepare materials, surfaces, and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber, or other material.

Job Location: Newton, IA

What You'll Do

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
• Use hand tools to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt from interior and/or exterior product surfaces
• Learn system components to avoid downtime
• Assure safety of all team members
• Maintain and improve quality

Working Conditions

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
