Job summary

Buckley Powder Co. is seeking a drill operator in the Gillette, WY area to perform blast hole drilling duties and operate drilling rigs on mine sites. The role requires travel and the ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Prior blast hole drilling experience is preferred, with the option of housing provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• One+ years' blast hole drilling experience (preferred).
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
• Willingness to do laborer work.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• High School Diploma.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to lift, carry, and handle heavy tools up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate drills according to drill pattern in sometimes remote locations and on active mine sites.
• Move drills to the designated location and safely maneuver the drill into position to drill blast holes.
• Safe and responsible operation and maintenance of the drilling rig.
