What You’ll Do

As a member of our Blast Crew, you will operate auxiliary equipment and assist equipment operators in maintaining site equipment and preparing explosive products for customers. This role reports as a Blast Crew Helper to the Blaster in Charge when dispatched to a customer site. Your duties will include:

  • Proactively managing risks and safety issues, practicing the Take 5! process
  • Operating auxiliary equipment such as forklifts, winches, and hand tools to support equipment operators, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality service
  • Completing and reporting pre- and post-use reports for all operated equipment
  • Reporting maintenance needs to ensure equipment reliability and safety
  • Assisting Equipment Operators and Blasters at blast sites to serve customers safely
  • Following all safety procedures and maintaining safe working conditions at shops, during equipment operation, and on blast sites to protect personal and team safety
  • Maintaining safe procedures at all dispatched sites
  • Reporting incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisors
  • Supporting policies that improve blasting service quality and limit liability
  • Familiarizing and complying with the HSE Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions
  • Participating in safety training and meetings to support safety programs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work early mornings and 10-12 hour shifts
  • Good work habits; prior manual labor experience preferred
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt to multiple projects
  • Willingness to undergo and pass an ATF background check for explosives possession
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team-oriented mindset
