Job summary

Mercer Valve Co Inc. seeks a diligent Sandblast Technician to support the Weld Department. You will operate sandblast equipment, read engineering prints, and ensure parts stay with work orders while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to multitask, work independently or in a team, and demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to lift heavy parts when needed. This role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy parts; you must be punctual,

• Excellent organization skills.
• Ability to lift 51lbs or more on occasion with a lifting partner.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Operate the sandblast machine to clean parts and components
• Sandblast and clean various components while standing for long periods of time
• Read Engineering prints/drawings/documents
• Identify and verify parts and materials to work order
• Verify accuracy of paperwork as required
• Periodically inspect tools and equipment for accuracy/deficiencies
• Ensure job orders remain with parts at all times
• Observe and follow all safety practices dictated by company policy
• Work and assist in other departments as required and perform other duties as assigned
