Qualifications

• Licensed member in good standing with the Washington State Bar.
• Carries malpractice insurance.
• Class C adult felony-qualified under Washington standards.
• Knowledge of Washington criminal law incl. vacates and LFOs.
• Experience with clients in carceral settings and marginalized communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to eligible Blake vacate and refund clients in Cowlitz County.
• Litigate motions to vacate under State v. Blake in courts within Cowlitz County.
• Assist clients with Blake refunds and third-party cost refunds (attorney’s fees).
• Coordinate with DOC and/or clients outside Washington State as needed.
• Hours under this contract vary month-to-month; no minimum hours guaranteed.
