Job summary

Blaine Brothers is seeking an experienced trailer technician for our Minnesota-based trailer shop. The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday, 3pm–12am. The role focuses on repair, maintenance, and upgrades of semi-trailers across various sizes and types.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
• Repair and maintenance of semi-trailers, brakes, suspension, electrical and pneumatic/hydraulic components, and body repairs.
• Inspect trailers to ensure compliance with USDOT safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports detailing findings.
• Provide after-sale services and component installation.
• Track parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure final work meets quality standards and maintain a clean, safe work area.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has a great attitude, and eager to learn. This position handles repair and maintenance of semi-trailers as well as all other styles and sizes of trailers.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
• Inspect the overall condition of trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
• Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
