Qualifications

• Great work ethic and willingness to jump in where needed.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical diagnostic/ troubleshooting experience or technical training.
• DOT certification and CDL are a plus.
• Clean driving record; ability to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally and 10–50 lbs frequently.
• Good written and verbal communication; reliability and honesty; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair on diesel trucks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and inspect parts for defects and wear.
• Repair or replace major assemblies and systems; machine shop operations as needed.
• Inspect trucks to meet DOT safety requirements and prepare inspection reports.
• Track parts and materials used in repairs and ensure quality of final work.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

As we continue to grow and expand, Blaine Brothers Baldwin, WI has an opening for a technician (preferred 1-2 years experience) in our Diesel Truck and Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone detail oriented, with a strong mechanical aptitude, and strong work ethic. The job handles the complete repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks.

SCHEDULE:

2nd shift (3pm-12am), Monday-Friday- 2nd Shift Pay Differential!

WAGE RANGE: $25- $40/hr (varies based on skillset and experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform repair on diesel trucks
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; make adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units
• Inspect the overall condition of trucks to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-worke
