Job summary

Envision Energy’s Global Blade Innovation Center seeks an engineer who builds in the real world—connecting software, simulations, and AI to accelerate blade design and reliability. You will own tool architecture, automate workflows, and apply physics-informed AI within engineering contexts to reduce design iteration time.

The role blends engineering and software development, requiring hands-on experience with FEA/CFD/CAD and strong scripting in Python and MATLAB, with travel up to 15%

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in an engineering discipline with hands-on experience.
• 5+ years merging engineering practice with software/digital tool development.
• Experience automating FEA/CFD/CAD toolchains and scripting.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for automations.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models in engineering contexts.
• Ability to translate engineering problems into tool architectures.
• Knowledge of blade or wind-turbine structural behavior.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build digital tools to automate blade design workflows.
• Develop internal engineering software platforms, APIs, and scripting.
• Create data pipelines linking simulations, manufacturing data, and field records.
• Collaborate with blade design, structural analysis, and field reliability teams.
• Develop AI/ML models and surrogate models for engineering tasks.
