Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adheres to all liquor laws and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Sets up the bar, requisitions, and stocks all supplies including beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, glassware, ice, and produce.
3. Maintains stock, prepares, and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
4. Greets guests courteously and friendly.
5. Processes drink orders, mixes and garnishes drinks using standard recipes, practicing portion control.
6. Checks IDs to verify legal drinking age.
7. Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
8. Handles cash, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions, and ensures vouchers are properly processed.
9. Secures beverage products, food, equipment, cash, and deposits.
10. Performs cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; maintains an organized work area.
11. Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Washes and sterilizes stemware.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
