STS Metals in Houston, TX is seeking a Blacksmith/Press Operator to lead daily forging operations and operate straightening presses and related forge equipment. The role involves shaping metal components to precise specifications, reading blueprints, and coordinating material movement with other departments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of forging/press experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven leadership to direct a forge crew.

The Blacksmith/Press Operator is responsible for primarily operating straightening presses and other related forge equipment to shape metal components according to specifications. In addition to hands-on forging responsibilities, this person will lead a forge crew in daily forging operations, directing team members in tasks such as loading material into furnaces, handling forged parts, and scheduling production orders.
