Job summary

STS Metals is seeking a Forge Operator to support day-to-day manufacturing by assisting the forge crew, preparing materials, moving products, and maintaining safe, organized work areas.

You’ll work second shift, 3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., with overtime as needed; this is a full-time, non-exempt role with 5S standards, PPE and opportunities to cross-train into operator or skilled trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or general labor is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned equipment in compliance with SOPs and safety rules.
• Perform basic setups, adjustments, and preventive checks.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections and document results.
• Handle raw materials, WIP, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
• Record production data including quantities, times, and inspection results.
• Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet targets.
• Maintain clean, organized work area following 5S standards and housekeeping.
• Report malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly.
• Cross-train and provide support in other areas as required.
• Wear PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.

As a Forge Operator at Forged Products, you’ll support day-to-day manufacturing operations by helping the forge crew, preparing materials, moving product, and keeping work areas safe and organized.You’ll be on your feet, working around heat, noise, and heavy materials, and supporting a fast-moving production team. Typical work hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., with flexibility required for business needs. Frequent overtime may be required.
