Job summary

Karma Automotive in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking a Body Shop Repair Technician to repair dents, waves, and surface imperfections on vehicle bodies, ensuring Class A surfaces meet strict standards. You will use a range of hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment to prepare bodies for the paint process in a safety-conscious environment.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow VSOP work instructions while contributing to continuous process

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in automotive body repair or collision repair required.
• Knowledge of dent repair, including paintless techniques.
• Identify and correct imperfections on Class A surfaces.
• Familiarity with body repair tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform BIW dent removal.
• Read and follow VSOP work instructions.
• Perform Class A surface repair using sanding and filing.
• Prepare BIW for paint shop.
• Meet daily production goals safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to PPE usage and daily safety checklists.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges to verify fit and quality.
• Contribute to improving safety, quality, delivery, and morale metrics.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Follow established processes and escalate issues when needed.
