Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Omaha Downtown/Old Market Area is seeking a friendly Bistro Server to deliver courteous food and beverage service in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will set up service areas, take orders, process payments, and coordinate with the kitchen to meet guest needs.

Prior restaurant or hotel experience is preferred, and the role requires standing for extended periods. Work hours vary, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Set up supplies, food, and beverage at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
• Take orders from customers, input orders, obtain payment and provide change.
• Communicate dietary requirements, allergies and special requests to the kitchen.
• Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol, when necessary.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing during shortages or peak periods.
• Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
• Clean all equipment and areas, lock equipment doors, etc.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
