Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and quality. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining operational procedures, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  1. Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  2. Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
  3. Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
  4. Establish, maintain, and train standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
  5. Respond to and handle guest-related issues pertaining to the department.
  6. Communicate effectively with the General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff.
  7. Manage employee performance to ensure productivity and a positive work environment.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong communication skills with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training.
  • Alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS).
  • Knowledge of food and beverage cost controls.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and use measurement tools accurately.
  • Experience in preparing budgets and ensuring cost controls.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions relevant to clientele.
