The Royal Standard opened its first retail store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1998, followed by additional stores. In 2009, we launched our first wholesale showroom in Atlanta. Currently, we operate 7 retail locations across Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama, with wholesale showrooms in Dallas and Atlanta. Our products are available in over 4,200 retail outlets across the US.

Job Description

Provides support as a member of the Culinary & Events team, focusing on frozen food preparation and packaging, grab-and-go food, event and café menu preparation, and execution. Training includes counter service, sanitation, new recipe implementation, stock management, and other duties.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Cuts, prepares, and packages a variety of foods for freezing.
  2. Maintains stock levels of frozen foods in stores and backstock.
  3. Dates products and monitors refrigerator/freezers for freshness.
  4. Receives and processes ingredients and supplies.
  5. Communicates effectively about ingredient needs for food production.
  6. Executes and provides feedback on new recipes and menu options.
  7. Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, and rotating stock.
  8. Assists customers at the café counter and POS system.
  9. Supports event setup, ensuring food presentation and safe handling standards.
  10. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  11. Adheres to laws when serving alcohol.
  12. Follows policies and maintains a professional attitude.
  13. Arrives prepared, groomed, and ready to work.

Position Requirements

  • Full-time availability.
  • Valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor permit or ability to obtain one.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Professional and personable demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Capable of standing/walking 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
