Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott in Collegeville, PA is seeking a Lead Breakfast Cook to set up and execute meals to order, manage a line station for the Bistro, and prepare banquet functions. This role requires a passion for hospitality and a drive to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of cooking experience, strong knowledge of cooking methods, and the ability to work a 5:30am–12:30pm shift (Mon–Fri, with occasional weekends).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook (6 months to 1 year preferred).
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a busy kitchen.
• Capable of multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Food preparations and cooking to menu specifications.
• Kitchen operations including FIFO, oil changes, storage organization, and inventory.

• Delivering orders to guests.
• Executing meals for private banquet events (breakfast & lunches) when contracted.

The Lead Breakfast Cook is responsible for setting up, executing meals to order and managing a line station for the Bistro while also preparing and executing banquet functions. We seek highly motivated team members. Our ideal candidates should exude a passion for the hospitality industry that will attract and inspire our team members to cultivate an exceptional guest experience.

Please note: public transportation does not run start of shift- must have other form of reliable transportation

Type:

FullTIme (32-40 hours/week)

Hours:

5:30am-12:30pm. Primarily Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends required. End time could extend to 2pm during the occasional banquet lunch contracted (aware in advanced)

Pay:

$17-$19/hr

Responsibilities:

• Kitchen operations- FIFO, cleanliness, changing fryer oil, storage organization, dishes, inventory, breaking down deliveries, etc...

• Executing meals for private banquet events when contracted (breakfast & lunches)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook (6 months to a year of experience preferred)
• Knowledge of various cooking methods
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask multiple orders at once
• Ability to communicate efficiently and respectfully towards guests and team members
