Job description

Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

Supports the Director of Food and Beverage in directives and goals.

Provides leadership and support for managers, supervisors, and line-level employees in Bistro 2Two2 and the Beverage Department.

Provides daily feedback and coaching to supervisors and line-level employees.

Collaborates with the Director of Food and Beverage on service initiatives and standards for all Bistro and Beverage Departments.

Assists with activities of the Food and Beverage Department to maintain and improve productivity, food quality, service, creativity, and merchandising to increase volume, sales, and profit in Bistro and Beverage.

Engages and strives to achieve financial (productivity, cost management, and top-line revenue), safety/sanitation, and guest sentiment goals.

Reviews and regularly evaluates guest satisfaction in individual outlets.

Generates business correspondence.

Coordinates and facilitates outlet training.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the yearly budget for Bistro 2Two2 and Beverage.
  • Develop a monthly forecast.
  • Monitor the payroll of these outlets.
  • Attend weekly department head meetings.
  • Revise standards and procedures for the department as necessary.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other departments.
  • Set an example for all team members by complying with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Perform various duties as assigned and responsibilities as requested.
  • Support communication of the company’s philosophy and culture using Guiding Principles and S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E D.E.L.I.G.H.T to ensure guest satisfaction and achieve the mission statement.
  • Provide instruction and guidance on F&B initiatives, including safety training and programs.
  • Adhere to all liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Write and present yearly reviews to outlet team members, including assistant managers and supervisors.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • Hospitality degree or minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience with POS systems and OpenTable.
  • Accounting and arithmetic skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with development capacity.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Innovative and trustworthy.
  • Ability to remain impartial during conflicts.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand/walk 80% of the shift; 20% in administrative duties.
  • Frequently reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, placing items on high shelves or in coolers/freezers.
Compensation

$60,000 to start.
