Position Summary

The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including garnishing
• Serve members and customers promptly, check identification, accept payment, and answer questions
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
• Restock liquors, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic ingredients
• Reconcile cash register at the end of each shift

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. routinely
• Ability to work stationary and move about the cafe for extended periods

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with inventory and ordering

Pay

This hourly position offers wages starting at $13.25 up to $15.75, based on experience and qualifications.
