Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to liaison with business units within our Private Client Group. This role balances security risk with business strategy, influencing senior leaders to embrace security initiatives and align with regulatory requirements.

The position follows a hybrid workstyle with a minimum of 3 days per week in an office. Not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• Financial services experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of information security programs including audit reviews, risk assessment, awareness and training, identity and access management, data protections, secure SDLC, incident management, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, third-party assessment, secure configurations and patch management.
• Technical skills and proficiency in Windows, UNIX, SQL, Tandem and related platforms.
• Clear verbal communications; provide guidance on expressing ideas, requesting actions and policies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and ensure full compliance with security policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Articulate security perspectives to the business and translate it into effective controls.
• Align security with business strategy and needs through clear communication with IS team.
• Counsel on regulatory information security compliance and drive adherence across units.
• Represent business units in developing policies and standards.
• Serve as primary contact for IT audits and coordinate with leadership to close action items.
