NORY in New York is seeking a Birthday Party STEM Assistant Specialist to engage kids with hands-on STEM activities and high-energy celebrations. You will help create unforgettable birthday experiences across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Role includes hosting activities, assisting with setup and cleanup, and maintaining a lively, safe party environment. Pay is $25 per hour, with 1–3 hours per week typically, and opportunities to join other NORY programs throughout the year.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience teaching children and facilitating engaging activities and events.
• Genuine love for children and a knack for turning every birthday into an unforgettable adventure.
• Ability to transform routine activities into lively, laughter-filled moments.
• Masterful organizational and behavioral management skills to ensure smooth-sailing festivities.
• Steadfast punctuality and professionalism, even during busy celebrations.
• Theater or acting background, or a passion for crafting immersive experiences for kids, is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Host birthday party STEM activities and engage kids with hands-on projects.
• Support setup, materials organization, and post-event cleanup.
• Facilitate activities with high energy and positive vibes.
• Adapt activities to fit party themes and keep events running smoothly.
• Possibly apply for other NORY roles based on performance and availability.
