Job summary

Jeff Rouse Swim & Sport Center in Stafford, VA, is seeking a part-time Birthday Party Host to ensure safety and guest satisfaction during celebrations. This role reports to the Youth & Sports Director and requires strong energy and reliability.

Responsibilities include preparing party rooms and equipment, coordinating food orders with the kitchen, engaging children with activities, delivering and serving snacks, and cleaning up afterward while upholding the center's mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic for payments and counts.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions and solve simple problems.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer use and timeclock software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare party room and lanes/gym/courts prior to the start of party with all necessary supplies (e.g., sports equipment, plates, napkins).
• Ensure party has been paid in full prior to the start of party.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding food orders.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding activities and changes.
• Lead activities with high energy and engage participants.
• Deliver and serve food and beverages.
• Clean party room and playing surfaces after the party.
• Follow Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center mission and policies.
