Job summary

Kettle Moraine YMCA in West Bend, WI is seeking a Birthday Party Host to lead exciting Nerf battles, pool games, and gym activities for kids in grades K-5. This part-time role runs Saturdays and/or Sundays 11:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m., with a wage of $16 per hour and a benefits package including a free Y Membership. You will arrive early to set up, engage guests, enforce party and pool rules, help prepare the party space, and guide activities in the gym when needed.

• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before each party to set up and prepare.
• Keep the party room clean before and after the event.
• Engage with guests and hosts to ensure a fun, safe experience.
• Assist with setup of party room with the host family.
• Deliver party and pool rules to hosts and guests.
• Set up gym prior to family arrival if needed; lead gym activities during the party.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Birthday Party Host is responsible for providing service to Kettle Moraine YMCA members and guests by maintaining an active presence at all birthday parties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Arrives 30 minutes before scheduled birthday parties to begin to set up.
• Ensures room is clean and tidy before and after party ends.
• Engages with party guests and party hosts.
• Assists with set up of party room with party host family.
• Delivers party rules to host and guests, including pool rules if party involves pool area.
• Set up gym prior to family arriving if party is in gym.
• Lead party in gym activities if party is in gym.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 16 years of age minimum.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to frequently sit, use his/her hands and fingers, stand, walk, reach, balance, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 40 lbs.
