Job summary
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Family Birth Center to deliver compassionate obstetric and newborn care. You will care for low- and high-risk pregnancies, postpartum patients, and well newborns, while collaborating with an interprofessional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The role requires WA RN licensure, 1–2 years of Med/Surg with Mother/Baby education, or a new graduate with relevant practicum, plus BLS with RQI and NRP training
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
- One to two years Med/Surg experience with completion of Mother/Baby Education program or
- New graduate with completion of senior practicum in L&D, Mother/Baby unit or nursery.
- Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to laboring patients and postpartum/newborns.
- Circulates for Cesarean Sections and assists in the delivery process.
- Performs assessments, plans, and implementation of patient care.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
