Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Birth Assistant to support labor and delivery within the Birth Center. This per diem, part-time position requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and patient education, covering 12-hour shifts and weekend calls as needed.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in labor & delivery, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and NJ RN licensure with NRP/BLS are required. The role offers comprehensive benefits for eligible staff and a competitive hourly rate of $50.25.

• Current NJ RN license and relevant certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop a care plan.
• Administer, monitor, and document therapies and interventions.
• Manage rapidly changing clinical situations.
• Educate patient and family about labor, birth, and postpartum care.
• Coordinate with healthcare team and ensure safety standards.
