Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA seeks a Manager, Family Birth Center to provide operational, clinical, educational, and personnel leadership for a community-based unit handling about 650 deliveries each year. The role reports to the Director of Women & Children's Services and oversees LDRP, newborn care, obstetric services and triage.

The position supports 24/7 leadership, staffing, patient flow, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance; acts as educator and competency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or current enrollment in a BSN program.
• WA RN license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years of acute care professional experience (within last 7 years).
• NRP certification upon hire (preferred)
• Minimum five years of Labor & Delivery experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership for Family Birth Center operations.
• Lead staffing, patient flow, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as department educator, overseeing orientation, competencies, and staff development.
• Partner with physicians, certified nurse midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver maternal and newborn care.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and caregiver engagement.
