Job summary

MOHR Talent is partnering with a biotech/pharma organization in Rossmoor, CA, seeking a hands-on procurement leader to manage sourcing, supplier relationships, purchasing processes, and a team of buyers.

The role requires procurement leadership experience in biotech or regulated environments, with expertise in GMP, supplier compliance, contracts, and ERP systems. You will drive cost savings, improve processes, and ensure compliant procurement across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience.
• 2+ years leading or supervising a procurement/purchasing team.
• Background in biotech, pharma, life sciences, medical device, or regulated manufacturing.
• ERP experience required.
• Experience supporting or writing SOPs, policies, or procurement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement buyers.
• Oversee purchase orders, quotes, proposals, supplier onboarding, contracts, and procurement metrics.
• Manage sourcing for indirect commodities, services, capital projects, and operational goods.
• Lead supplier negotiations and support contract commitments.
• Partner with finance, operations, quality, supply chain, and internal teams to solve purchasing issues.
• Drive cost savings, supplier performance, and process improvements.
• Support inventory needs through vendor-managed inventory partners.
• Help maintain compliant procurement practices, SOPs, policies, and documentation.
