Job summary

RayzeBio, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, seeks a Buyer, Procurement in Indianapolis to support capital projects, equipment, and materials. You will negotiate with suppliers, place POs, and ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA standards.

You will maintain SAP/Ariba master data, track supplier performance, and collaborate with QA, Regulatory, and Finance to meet timelines and budgets. A strong analytical mindset and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and 5+ years of progressive supply chain or procurement experience in biotech/pharma.
• Experience in procurement, materials management, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience buying for capital projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and FDA requirements.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and influence senior leaders.
• Familiarity with vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Source and select suppliers for capital project items and direct materials.
• Negotiate prices and terms; support supplier contracts for best value.
• Place and manage purchase orders for capital projects and coordinate with Project Controls and Finance.
• Ensure purchases meet cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain SAP / Ariba master data and track supplier performance.
• Prepare reports and take corrective actions per SOPs and cGMP.
• Collaborate with Quality, Legal, and other teams to stay compliant.
• Record purchases, pricing, and delivery status in ERP systems.
• Identify cost savings and support continuous improvement in the supply chain.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and quality.
