Job summary

Ferring Pharmaceuticals in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a Process Equipment Technician for 2nd shift to service production equipment and drive uptime through skilled repairs and proactive maintenance.

The role requires 3+ years in a regulated biotech setting, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to work weekends or off-shifts as needed. This position supports a focused, safety-conscious manufacturing team in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Technical school, bachelor’s degree or related training.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated field.
• Experience in biotech manufacturing, GMP and/or ISO 13485 preferred.
• CMMS experience.
• Reading mechanical, electrical, and P&IDs.
• MS Suite proficiency.
• Weekend and off-shift work may be required; flexibility to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for the 2nd shift team; day-to-day service of production equipment
• Provide mechanical support for production machines by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and executing repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime
• Prepare detailed reports and logs to inform management, operations, and shifts of ongoing repairs and issues
• Conduct line changeovers, set-up and adjustments per production schedule
• Assist Engineering with equipment installations and modifications
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine checks
• Coordinate maintenance with vendors
• Develop maintenance schedules and allocate resources to maximize line output
• Adhere to safety and quality guidelines; ensure reports follow them
• Escalate maintenance issues to Senior Manager and others
• Promote a collaborative, customer service-focused team environment
