Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Irvine, CA is seeking a Biotechnology Patent Prosecution Associate with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D.

in biology or a related field and a JD, and will work on complex patent matters representing biotechnology clients. This role offers opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, draft and prosecute USPTO applications, perform FTO analyses, and provide strategic IP counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of biotechnology patent prosecution experience.
• Strong academic credentials and IP law orientation.
• Experience with USPTO filings and office actions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute biotechnology patent applications including drafting and filing.
• Respond to USPTO office actions and manage client portfolios.
• Conduct patentability searches and FTO analyses.
• Advise clients on IP strategies and portfolio management.
• Interface with clients and technical teams to translate inventions into patent applications.
• Represent clients before the USPTO.
