BCG Attorney Search seeks a Technical Advisor or Patent Agent with a Ph.D. in the biological sciences for its Boston office to drive world-class IP portfolios.

You will work with scientists to draft and prosecute patent applications, coordinating with global associates to advance strategic filings. You will analyze literature and create robust patent strategies, perform landscapes and freedom-to-operate analyses, and collaborate on IP diligence for biotech investments and IPOs, shaping

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, Protein Design or Structural Biology.
• Strong analytical skills to independently identify and analyze scientific issues.
• Proficient scientific writing ability.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex concepts.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Collaborative approach and team-oriented mindset.
• USPTO admission preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive management of global patent portfolios and coordinate prosecution with foreign associates.
• Draft compelling office action responses and prosecute patent applications.
• Collaborate with scientists to turn breakthrough ideas into strong patent filings.
• Analyze scientific literature, patents, and applications across diverse biological fields.
• Conduct patent landscapes and freedom-to-operate analyses to support strategy.
• Support IP diligence for biotech investments and capital markets transactions.
• Contribute to IP diligence for biotech IPOs and related securities offerings.
