You will prepare and prosecute biotech applications and conduct examiner interviews, while performing searches and opinions as needed.

Requirements include a JD from an ABA-accredited school with USPTO registration and at least 1 year of biotech patent prosecution; a PhD is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of substantial recent patent prosecution experience in biotechnology.
• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• Ph.D. in biotechnology or related field is preferred but optional.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute biotechnology patent applications.
• Conduct examiner interviews.
• Arrange for patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement, and validity searches; prepare patentability opinions.
