Job summary

Output is seeking a business development leader to own the groundwork for partnerships across pharma, biotech, and AI ecosystems. You will map partner landscapes, build target lists, and prepare materials that translate Output's capabilities for diverse audiences.

You will work closely with founders to align deals, coordinate with science and technology teams, and drive the partnering engine from the ground up at a stealthy, well-funded startup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business development, partnerships, or related commercial role in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
• Understanding of the drug discovery landscape and how partnerships are evaluated and structured.
• Ability to operate across pharma/biotech and AI/technology ecosystems; fast learner.
• Strong writing skills to translate science and business into credible materials.
• Natural networker with a track record of building relationships across ecosystems.
• Highly organized with diligent tracking of conversations, next steps, and open items.
• Comfortable working with founders and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Clear communicator across technical and commercial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Map the partner landscape in drug discovery and identify alignments across platforms and assets.
• Identify partners beyond drug discovery, including infrastructure and AI organizations.
• Own the pipeline with target lists, account plans, and prioritized opportunities.
• Prepare partner-ready materials translating capabilities for different audiences.
• Build and maintain the network; represent Output at conferences and events.
• Run the meeting cycle: prep founders, participate in meetings, and coordinate follow-ups.
• Coordinate between science/technology teams and partners to scope requirements.
