Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a shipping/receiving associate to handle receipt, storage and distribution of materials in a laboratory setting. You will perform data entry, track shipments and ensure accuracy of quantities and conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma or associate degree with 2+ years of data entry and receiving experience, plus familiarity with biotech shipping. Forklift may be used occasionally in a clean lab environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / Associates degree and 2+ years of data entry and receiving experience preferred.
• Got biotech or laboratory shipping/receiving exposure preferred.
• Some college courses preferred.
• Understands shipping processes to prepare final shipments and tracking for shipments/returns.
• Data entry and receiving knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of biotech or laboratory shipping/receiving methods.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, delivery or storing of incoming packages or goods.
• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors and delivered to inventory or proper employee.
• Reviews receipt of materials to confirm quantity and quality.
• Ensures security and accountability of materials delivered.
• Performs data entry and maintains documentation for department activities.
• Analyzes reports to correct deficiencies.
• Supports stock allocation to scientific departments.
• Processes outgoing shipments and returns.
• Prepares and maintains records of materials shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
• Cleans and restocks laboratory glassware.
• Other duties as assigned
