Job summary

Amgen in North Carolina seeks a Senior Associate Manufacturing - Technical Training for Upstream Bulk Drug Substance to develop and deliver training programs that enhance reliability, efficiency, and process knowledge across the ANC Manufacturing plant.

You will join the MFG Technical Training team, support investigations, and participate in 24/7 operations, applying Learning Management System tools and quality systems to drive compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a science/engineering field preferred.
• Experience in training development and facilitation is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of the manufacturing training strategy to ensure readiness and efficiency.
• Provide training expertise for manufacturing areas (cell culture, purification, MFG Services).
• Lead New Hire Orientation to ensure up-to-date content.
• Create Performance Supporting Materials (SOP updates, videos, slide updates).
• Support investigations and change controls in manufacturing.
• Promote collaboration across staff to maximize learning and investigation outcomes.
• Maintain Training Assignment Profiles and serve as Learning Management System SME.
• Present complex topics clearly to diverse groups and in varied settings.

Education

Master’s degree

Bachelor’s degree + 6 months of Manufacturing or Operations experience

Associate’s degree + 2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience

High school diploma / GED + 4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience
