Job summary

Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to perform molecular biology techniques in support of producing quality control materials.

You will follow written SOPs, work under cGMP and BSLII conditions, and handle various labware with precision. Responsibilities include executing PCR, spectrometry, and gel electrophoresis tasks, documenting results, and assisting with process troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a biology-related field and hands-on manufacturing or lab experience.
• Experience with DNA/RNA techniques (PCR, spectrometry, gel electrophoresis) is highly desired.
• Must read, understand, and follow SOPs with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of molecular biology techniques to support manufacture of molecular controls.
• Follow cGMP and work in BSLII hood and controlled environment.
• Handle multiple labware and small-volume pipetting with precision.
• Document results accurately and maintain organized records.
• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing processes and products as needed.
• Maintain inventory and general lab housekeeping.
