The ideal candidate has an advanced life sciences degree (PhD or MD/PhD) and 1–3 years in life science investing, with a proactive, organized approach and strong communication skills. Based in NYC with in-office presence five days a week and travel.

Qualifications

• Advanced life science degree (PhD or MD/PhD) required.
• 1–3 years of life science investing experience, venture preferred.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with ability to ask questions and seek context.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; open, articulate.
• Attention to detail; able to analyze both quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Willing to be based in New York City and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: build relationships with peers, academics, and industry leaders.
• Deal evaluation: conduct market research, competitive analysis, and light modeling.
• Due diligence: analyze scientific, regulatory, and commercial aspects.
• Investment execution: support structuring, negotiation, and docs.
• Portfolio management: guide portfolio companies and track milestones.
• Industry analysis: monitor biotech, tools, and diagnostics trends.
• Investment reporting: prepare memos, presentations, and updates.
• Team collaboration: share insights and contribute to strategy.
